I Love Geeks :)

I have many interests but most of them all have to do with computer. I love to web design, graphic design as well as expirement with different sites. There are many sites that I visit on a daily basis for newest information that relate to my interests. I also love to socialize but mostly online as I'm not much of an out-going person. I prefer being home with my laptop, tv and of course family. Since my both my best friends don't live here in Rhode Island, our daily communication is basically online. Be it chatting, emailing or text messaging. And of course, Facebooking & Tweeting. Below, I have listed some of my favorite websites and the reason I love them.

  1. Facebook  -

    • I love Facebook as it connects me to all my family members who live outside of US. Since 99% of my family does not live here in US and phone calls can get so expensive, facebook definitely comes in handy to communnicate. Whether we share news with each other, pictures or just daily randomness...facebook is always there.

  2. Bollywood Hungama -

    • I visit Bollywood Hungama every single day to get updated on my favorite film Industry - Bollywood. The reason I love this site is because they are constantly updating and always bringing exclusives for the fans. Another reason is because it's not a tabloid site, they never print any rumors. Everythign is ligimat and right from the stars themselves. Also because one of the journalist is a dear friend. :)

  3. Ram Prachi Rock -

    • This website is like my second home. I not only do a lot of backend coding for this site but it is also the site that has connected me to many fans of the actors Ram Kapoor & Prachi Desai - two of the biggest television actors in India. In fact, this is the first site of them both that has brought them to their fans for direct interaction. Ram has become a very dear friend and is constantly encouraging me to work harder on web designing because I represent his official site. Since it's his official site, I always want to make sure I don't mess up and keep the site as cleaned as I can. I'm currently in the process of taking over the whole site and revamping it. Lots & lots of coding happening for it now.

  4. Google News -

    • This is the first site that I visit every morning and also during the day to get the latest news happening not only in US but also around the world. I have customized this site so that I get the latest news of my interests. Be it local Rhode Island news or up-to-date score on my favorite sports of Cricket.

  5. Rhode Island College Blackboard -

    • RIC Blackboard site has become one of my favorites and also a regular due to the fact that all my assignments are posted online as well as most of my grades. I visit the site multiple times a day.

  6. Planet Radio City -

    • One of my favorite online radio station site that I visit daily while doing work to keep me entertainted. They play latest songs as well as take live calls for poetry, song requests/dedications as well as contests.

  7. Twitter -

    • Twitter is one of my latest obsessions. I'm constantly tweeting using my blackberry and the web. It keeps me connected to my friends as well as few politicians and celebrities that I follow closely. It has also allowed me to interact with them directly.

  8. Saanams Mind -

    • A blog that is owned by me and one of my friends. I designed the site as well as take care of all the coding that is not done by Wordpress. Though I don't blog as regularly as my friend does, I definitely visit it daily to read her blogs and the views of our readers.

  9. Cook It Up With Saanams -

    • This is a recipe site again owned by my friend and I. We share our family recipes from India and Pakistan. Since my friend is from India, she shares her ethnic recipes while I share Pakistani recipes.

  10. Friends Korner -

    • I love this site/forum because they host shows of all kinds from Pakistan. So if there is any episode of my favorite show that I do not get to watch on TV, I go here to watch it. I also connect with all other viewers of the show and discuss the storyline, etc..
